If all the reports are true, it's my opinion that any player caught cheating should be banned from the game with 0% chance of making the HOF. I don't know how any fan can stand up for any of these players. They have cheated us the fans and most importantly they have disgraced the game that made them who they are.

The Braves snapped the Cubs four game winning steak tonight, 2-0, behind the pitching of Javier Vazquez and three relievers. The offense appeared to revert back to old habits of not being able to get the big hit in the clutch, stranding 11 runners on the evening.
The Cubs had plenty of chances consistently putting runners on base with 10 hits and three walks, being shut out with double-digit hits in a nine-inning game for the first time since Aug. 29, 1990, at Houston.
Ryan Dempster had a quality start, going 6.2 innings giving up two runs, both earned on eight hits, four walks and six strikeouts. Dempster however got no offense from a lineup resting both Alfonso Soriano and Milton Bradley.
Derrek Lee extended his hitting streak to 19 games with a single in the bottom of the first inning. Jake Fox getting a rare start in LF went 2-for-5, although he did go down looking with two on and two outs in the top of the ninth. Andres Blanco had another pair of hits raising his average to .245 on the year. Kevin Hart made his first appearance since being recalled pitching one inning, giving up no runs on no hits and one walk.
The Braves got a rare win with little offense, improving to 4-29 in games in which they scored fewer than four runs.

The Cubs finally gave the fans a relaxing day beating the Indians 6-2 at Wrigley Field finishing off a three game sweep of the Tribe.
Not nearly as exciting as the previous three days, the Cubs broke open a close game scoring four times in the bottom of the fifth inning to take a 6-0 lead. The game was never in doubt the rest of the way as Randy Wells finally won his first game of the year.
Derrek Lee extended his hitting streak to 18 games, Geovany Soto homered and drov... [Read More]

Lou has done a good job of keeping his cool IMO. I have seen a lot of people around the web calling for Lou to "blow" up and kick start some fire in these guys.
Well sometimes, if the leader freaks out the troops panic so maybe Lou feels if he remains calm and don't show any panic, the guys won't panic and the talent will eventually prosper.

Just when you thought the Cubs couldn't top Thursday's comeback against the cross town hated White Sox, they pulled off an even more improbable comeback on Friday afternoon at the Friendly Confines.
With Rich Harden having another bad outing, the Cubs bats came to life once again the bottom of the eighth inning spurring on another great come back win.
Derrek Lee had a huge day at the plate. D Lee continued to pound the baseball, going 3-for-5 with a double, two home runs, two rbi's and two runs scored including the game tying home run off of former Cub Kerry Wood in the bottom of the ninth. Lee now has a 16 game hitting streak in which he is 24-for-65 (.369).
I felt kinda bad for Kerry today. I really wanted my Cubs to win, but i just wish it wouldn't have had to be at the expense of a guy who i appreciate so much for what he done as a Cub. I know he had his injury problems, but i also know he was a great team mate. I also believe not giving up, working hard each and every time to get back to pitching in the Majors showed a lot of character and heart IMO.
I think these past two games will really start to show a different team coming to the field each day. Two wins like this can make you believe you have your "swagger" back and they know that they are never out of a game.
Other Cubs That Had A Good Day
Andres Blanco had two hits and a couple RBI's on that big hit in the bottom of the eighth with two and the sacs full. To me, that was the biggest at bat of the entire game with the score still 7-2 at the time.
Alfonso Soriano didn't look great today at the plate or in the field at times. However i give Sori props today for his two walks and the hustle in the tenth inning, stealing second after a two out walk and scoring on Theriot's bad hop single.
The Bullpen was HUGE. Patton, Heilman, Marmol and Gregg combined to pitch five innings giving up no runs and just ONE hit.

Reed Johnson then led off the bottom of the ninth as a pinch hitter and singled to center before getting sacrificed over to second. After Aaron Miles grounded out to short for the second out, Alfonso Soriano single to right center sending the stadium and the team into a delirium on this beautiful day for baseball. For one day/night, all is well in Wrigleyville.
